What typically goes on special
- Refurbished certified units. Chain blocks, lever hoists, and pulling winches stripped, rebuilt, load-tested, and re-certified.
- Clearance and end-of-line stock. Slings, wire rope, and rigging hardware either discontinued by supplier or held as excess inventory.
- Seasonal promotions. End-of-year deals, pre-shutdown specials, trade show runout.

Is promotional and clearance equipment certified?
Yes. All promotional lifting equipment supplied by Toco is tested and certified under LME 008 before dispatch. Every unit ships with a current compliance certificate signed off by Anton van Staden, ECSA-registered Lifting Machinery Inspector (Reg. 201112078). Promotional pricing has no effect on certification.
What warranty applies to promotional units?
Refurbished units carry a limited Toco-backed warranty covering workmanship defects from the refurbishment process. Clearance new-stock units carry the original manufacturer warranty where applicable. Warranty excludes normal wear, misuse, and load chain damage from overloading. Full written terms are supplied with the quotation.
How do I know what’s currently on offer?

Can I get custom specifications on promotional equipment?
Yes, within reason. Custom chain lengths, alternative end fittings, and minor configuration changes are fitted in-house at our Germiston facility. Standard OEM sizing is stocked; non-standard specifications typically add a short lead time. Request custom specifications on the quotation form.
What happens if the item I want has already sold out?
Promotional stock is finite and rotates as units sell through. If the specific item you need is sold out, our sales team can suggest comparable alternatives from current stock, quote on a new unit (often at preferential pricing for lost-sale recovery), or flag you for the next rotation of similar stock. Do promotional prices include VAT and delivery?
Prices quoted in writing from Toco Lifting are typically exclusive of VAT and delivery unless explicitly stated otherwise. Both are itemised separately on the quotation. Delivery rates depend on destination within South Africa and across SADC. Confirm the basis on the written quotation before placing the order.
