Toco Lifting (Pty) Ltd is the sole authorised Southern African distributor of Vital® chain blocks, heavy-duty Japanese-manufactured manual chain hoists with capacities from 0.5 ton to 20 ton. Vital® blocks are SANS 1594 compliant and fitted with SANS 1592 load chain. An OLL (overload limiter) is fitted as standard. Each unit ships with a Load Test Certificate produced on Toco’s SANAS-calibrated load cell.

Chain blocks are one of the five equipment categories inside Toco's Lifting Machinery Entity registration, LME No. 008, so the same company that supplies the block also performance tests and certifies it, and recertifies it for the life of the equipment. Turnaround on Vital repairs is 24 hours.

Yes. An OLL (overload limiter) is fitted as standard: no chain block or lever hoist leaves Toco without one. It is factory-set and must not be adjusted in the field.
Chain blocks are one of the five equipment categories on Toco's LME No. 008 approval, so Toco performance tests and certifies them under that scope, with technical oversight by an ECSA registered Lifting Machinery Inspector, and recertifies for the life of the equipment.
