What we supply
Toco supplies an extensive range of equipment, assembled, tested and certified at our Germiston facility:
- Chain blocks and lever hoists, including the heavy duty Vital® range as sole Southern African distributor, and our very popular medium duty Taurus range of chain blocks and lever hoists
- Chain, chain fittings and chain assemblies, assembled in house to specification
- Steel wire rope, rope fittings and rope assemblies, assembled in house to specification
- Rigging hardware
- Lashing chain and components
- Polyester webbing slings and assemblies
In house capability
Toco operates from a 4,500 square metre building on the M2 Highway in Germiston, one of the busiest freight corridors in Gauteng, making us accessible to customers collecting equipment directly.
Our hydraulic presses are used for the mechanical assembly of steel wire rope slings. The largest press has a load rating of 1,500 tons and swages steel wire rope slings up to 56mm. Socketing and splicing services are available alongside. Our steel wire rope range covers PVC coated wire through to rope used on overhead tower and mobile cranes.
Toco operates a 200 ton proof loader for testing and destructive testing, currently calibrated to 100 tons.
A fully stocked repairs and testing centre provides inspection, repair and certification of lifting gear, with ongoing technical advice and support.
Our team
Executive Manager Jonty Walls leads the Toco team with a philosophy centred on relationships and service. The management team brings together sales, financial and technical leadership, with a registered Lifting Machinery Inspector providing the technical authority that underpins every product Toco supplies.
