Chain link components are the master links, hooks and connecting fittings used to assemble chain slings and steel wire rope slings, supplied by Toco Lifting across South Africa. As a registered Lifting Machinery Entity (LME No. 008), Toco supplies these components and assembles and certifies the slings they build.
Toco Lifting holds Lifting Machinery Entity registration LME No. 008 under the Driven Machinery Regulations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, with technical oversight by Anton van Staden, an ECSA-registered Lifting Machinery Inspector (Reg. #201112078).
What are chain link components?
Chain link components are the fittings used to build and finish chain slings and steel wire rope slings — master links (oblongs), lifting hooks, and connecting components. A master link, also called an oblong, is used as the top component of a sling; enlarged master links suit heavier-capacity crane hooks. Toco supplies the full range of components and assembles them into rated slings.
What hooks are available?
Toco offers a wide variety of alloy Grade 80 lifting hooks in both eye and clevis types, including safety sling hooks, self-locking hooks, grab hooks, shank hooks, foundry hooks and swivel self-locking hooks.
